Costa Rica
Costa Rica despite being a relatively small country supports an enormous variety of wildlife, due to both its geographical position. Siting between the Caribbean and Pacific Ocean and the North and South American continents. Plus its has a wide variety of habitats, ranging from tropical coastal areas to mountainous cloud forests.
This galley of images taken on a coast to coast trip in October 2019. Hopefully shows some of the diversity of wildlife that a traveller in Costa Rica will encounter in this wonderful country. Starting in the capital San José we travelled to the Caribbean costal jungles of Tortuguero National Park. Then further south to the Parque Nacional Cahuita Reserve. Our next destination was to the Turrialba Valley and Savegre Cloud Forest in the Central Highlands. Then descending down to the Pacific to Drake Bay on the Osa Peninsula. Finally visiting Corcovado National Park before returning along the Pacific coast back to San José
