Sri Lanka

If you are looking for the chance to see Leopards, Elephants, Whales and a host of other tropical species within a few miles of each other then Sri Lanka is an ideal location.

This galley of images taken on our trip to Sri Lanka. Hopefully shows some of the diversity of wildlife that a traveller in Sri Lanka a might encounter.

Starting in the capital Colombo, we travelled North to Polonnaruwa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the Rock Fortress at Sigiriya. From there it was south to the city of Kandy before travelling on to Nuwara Eliya and the Horton Plains. Then on to the Sinharaja Forest Reserve before moving further south to Udawalawe National Park.  Yala National Park, Sri Lanka’s oldest wildlife reserve was the next stop. Before the short drive to Mirissa, for a chance for some whale watching. Finally ending the trip back in Colombo.
